About ParentDesk

A family organizer built for kids' lives — not meal planning, not household chores, not family chat. School schedules, activities, doctor appointments, birthdays, teacher notes, and homework.

Why we built this

The trigger was a bake sale. Three weeks earlier, we had signed up to bring 30 cupcakes. We wrote it down somewhere. It got buried under other things. And on the morning of the bake sale, we were standing in the kitchen at 6am trying to bake.

We tried Google Calendar — it's great for blocking time, but it has no concept of "things I've promised to bring." We tried notes apps, but notes don't surface themselves at the right time. We tried family organizer apps, but they were built for grocery lists and chore charts.

What we needed was something specifically for managing kids' lives: a place to track schedules, yes, but also commitments, teacher notes, and homework. Something that understood the difference between a calendar event and a supply commitment. Something that knew which activities belonged to which child.

What ParentDesk does

Who it's for

ParentDesk is for parents of school-age children — kindergarten through high school — who want to stay on top of the organizational complexity that comes with the school years.

It's particularly useful when you have more than one child (each gets their own color-coded profile and separate data), when you co-parent with someone and want shared visibility (Family+ plan), or when you find yourself constantly checking emails and newsletters to remember what you signed up for.

The free plan is genuinely free — one child profile, all features, no time limit, no credit card required. Paid plans add unlimited children and co-parent sharing.

The company

ParentDesk is built by a small software team focused on tools for families. We're committed to keeping ParentDesk simple, private, and genuinely useful.

We don't sell your data. We don't show you ads. Your family's information stays private — we use Supabase for secure storage with row-level security, meaning your data is only accessible to you and anyone you explicitly invite.
